Teaching is my passion. I delight in watching someone fall in love with the process of learning, like solving a puzzle or unlocking a mystery and seeing deference melt away to be replaced by confident engagement.

I have worked with students from kindergarten through college. For 18 years, I taught in independent schools with various academic styles. I am often asked which age is my favorite, and I find it impossible to say. I am after the shift in the shoulders as confidence grows, which looks the same at any age.

Just as I strive to foster a love of learning and personal development in my students, I work to keep the characteristics active in myself. Through graduate courses, certificate programs, educational conferences, and active participation in national organizations for independent schools, I am always working to stay abreast of best practices and new developments in education. We are all people growing, learning, and trying to do better than we did yesterday. As a coach, teacher, and educator, I relish the opportunity to help others discover their best. They never cease to amaze me.
